Nothing is permanent. Things will change. However **** things feel right now you will NOT remain in this space forever more. It hurts sometimes physically other times emotionally and often times both together. It will without doubt offer you the opportunity for change - What you do with that is up to you. So if things are good for you right now, enjoy whatever's going on. Laugh lots. Even if things are bad, manage a smile, I promise it won’t last forever.
2. Shut the **** up
[bctt tweet="Spending today complaining about yesterday won’t make tomorrow any brighter."]
Don't you just love that? Appreciate the moment of now because in reality it's all we have. You miss this tiny speck of time and that's it, it's gone. If you were given a finite amount of time to be/do/have what you want how many of those precious minutes would you want to waste complaining?
3. Embrace your war wounds
Your scars are an outward symbol of your strength. I always balked at the thought of large post surgery scars, but now this larger than life version I'm sporting has healed it's become a part of my being. It's a symbol of a journey (true, it's one I would rather not have taken, but there you go). It's actually no different to all the little marks and knocks that represent my path through this life. Our scars are a symbol of our courage and our strength.
“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”~ Rumi
4. You're worth more than they think
What other people think about you is none of your business! Keep your head up when negativity comes towards you. When other people treat you poorly, berate you, critisise you, be true to yourself. Remember, we see things not as they are but as WE are. If someone has a problem about you/with what you do it's more than likely something they're not dealing with for themselves. Don’t ever let someone else’s unkind words and actions change the person you are. We gain great strength by overcoming what others consider to be impossible.
5. You just gotta trust yourself Baby
At some point you have to trust your intuition, put your money where your mouth is, gather all the courage you can muster and go for it. What would you rather have, a knowing that you followed your heart and soul and did what was right for you or the rest of your life thinking "What if"? Yep, there may be big periods of doubt and confusion, you may have to navigate other people's fears and objections, that's more or less a given, especially if you're defying convention in any way. But doing it your way ... What could be better than that?
6. Gratitude rocks
The ability to embrace gratitude in any given situation is priceless. There is something positive to be found no matter what is happening. Finding that tiny bit of positivity and holding onto it with every ounce of your being can transform a situation. Laugh at the confusion, live consciously in the moment, and enjoy your life as it unfolds.
This is your life. Make it count
Oooh and just as a little food for thought take a look at this short video as a metaphor for life. It's all about Perspective. Our reality is determined by what we believe and how we choose to interpret those facts/thoughts
What do you reckon?
