What is EFT?

 

EFT (that's short for Emotional Freedom Technique) is a simple process you can learn for yourself to help deal with all manner of emotional upsets:

Stress, Anxiety, Guilt, Sorrow, Anger, Sadness, Fears and Phobias, Limiting Beliefs – you know the things that go around and around in your head. You’re left with a feeling of “It happened, it’s over and I’m okay”, allowing you to move on and experience life from a much freer perspective.

 

In the hands of a professional practitioner it has been known to have the effect of a magic wand, other times it take patience and persistence depending upon the person and circumstances. I have been practicing EFT for over a decade and am still astounded by how quickly and efficiently it delivers relief and clarity.

 

To give you an idea of what is possible take a look at the impromptu session Mel and I had when we met for the first time during a Dare to Dream workshop. I chose her for a tapping demonstration after the group had identified things they felt were holding them back.

How does it work?

I could talk to you about meridians, the amygdala, and how it all works, but the simplest way is to say it’s like acupuncture without needles freeing emotional energy blocked in the body.

what can tapping do for me?

Can I tap for myself?

Yes, absolutely!

To use it for yourself you need to get acquainted with the points I demonstrate in the videos - it's so easy you'll hardly believe it - and concentrate on how you're feeling whilst you tap lightly on your face and upper body.

Once you know how, you can tap along to my voice as I guide you through the process in these recordings to help relieve stress and anxiety and the fear of change or any other thoughts and feelings that are causing you confusion. Simply repeat my words out loud, or silently to yourself if it feels more comfortable for you, as you tap the points.

Tapping like this will move you from a place of stress and overwhelm to a calmer space. I'm aware though there may be other occasions when you feel you need more than a self help technique for you to let go of the challenges life has dealt you.   • The Karate chop - side of the hand
  • Top of the head
  • Mid forehead
  • Eyebrow point
  • Side of the eye
  • Under the eye
  • Under the nose
  • Under the lip
  • Collar bone
  •  Under the arm - 4" below the armpit

 

 

Now you've practiced the tapping points you can tap along to the recordings below. I created them to enable you to tap easily and effectively to achieve rapid results. I would advise you to listen to them first to enable you to get accustomed to the pace and then follow my voice. You can repeat my words or use your own. The important thing is to concentrate on how you feel throughout the experience. Enjoy!

GEORGINA EFT"I had two little girls, Bobbie and Danni, who both died at the age of 8, two years apart, from a rare genetic disorder called Battens Disease, in 2004 and 2006. I got on with my life as best I could and lived from day to day, as it was the only way I could cope. A few months ago something changed, and I was finding life very difficult to cope with.
