What choice do I have?

Choices Choices

iStock_000000180754Small-300x225What would you like to do, be or have in your life?

Do you have something you’d like to accomplish or somewhere you’d like to go?

Is there a certain way you’d like to feel?

Are you filling your time with things that are important but you know you could make a difference in some other way if you gave yourself the chance?

What choices do you have / are you making to enable you to realize any of those wishes/dreams/desires?

What’s on your List?  Did you even make your Great Big Dream List?  If, god forbid, something happened tomorrow that pulled you up short and made you look at your life what would you be saying – what would you have wished you had done – what would you have like to have been different?

“Remembering you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose.  You are already naked.  There is no reason not to follow your heart” – Steve Jobs

[bctt tweet=” We are the sum total of our choices. Our choices and decisions create our direction and our destiny.” username=”SallyCanning”]

Choices create our present and our future – we can try to avoid making them by doing nothing but even that is a decision – We have to make a choice to take a chance on life – otherwise nothing will change.  Life is all about choices / perspective – it all depends on how you look at it

Life-isnt-about-wiating-for-the-storm-to-pass-300x300Each choice we make comes with consequences whether we like it or not.  The ‘problems’ we think we are facing are the challenges that go with accepting the decisions we previously made, and maybe they haven’t turned out the way we anticipated.  Think Ripple Effect  – like the ever expanding ripples across a pond when a pebble is dropped into it.

We all have free will – It’s your life – Choose how you will live it!

Do you really want to look back on your life and see how wonderful it could have been had you not been afraid to live it? – Caroline Myss.

 What will you do?

Candy Chang turned an abandoned house in her neighbourhood into a giant chalkboard leaving the question “Before I die I want to ____ ” (fill in the blank)  You can see what happened below. And, if this inspires you I’ve left you a few thought provoking questions under the video to contemplate as you go about your day

Remember – The choices you make …. make you

It’s your life – choose how you want to live it.  “You can’t always change your direction overnight, but you can change your destination over night” Jim Rohn

  • What is the fear/belief that’s stopping me from being/doing/having what I really want in my life?
  • Right now, in this moment, what do I want more than anything else?
  • What’s the biggest thing standing in my way?
  • What’s the one thing I want to change the most?
  • Where do I want to be in my life twelve months from now?
  • How do I want to be feeling?
  • What is the legacy I would like to leave in this world?
  • If I could do one thing before I die what would that be?
  • What Choices do I have?
  • What is my next big step?
  • What am I waiting for?

    Hi Sunshine Sally,
I love this post! It is so easy to get caught up in the every day doings of our lives that we lose sight of the big picture.

If you have not already seen it, you might enjoy the book “Shine” by one of my favorite people, Dr. Ned (Edward) Hallowell. While his primary topic is ADD/ADHD, this book is about doing the thing in life that really lights you up.

So glad you enjoyed it Columbia. I’ll definitely check out the book, thank you :0)
