A reflection on what you see
“There is nothing more rare, nor more beautiful, than a woman being unapologetically herself; comfortable in her perfect imperfection. To me, that is the true essence of beauty.” – Steve Maraboli

the amazing, uniquely beautiful, smart, funny, loving, generous woman you really are?
I do hope you are able to acknowledge at least some of the beauty within you.
Why, I wonder do we always have to see the need for improvement, and not just in the physical – you know, smaller hips, thighs, boobs etc but also criticizing ourselves for our lack of self discipline, perfectionism, procrastination and worse.
How about we start some reflection to do an about turn on what you see and lets find out what you are good at?
What comes naturally to you?
Are you kind, considerate, loving? Are you a good team player, the one who applauds and encourages other people’s successes? Do you have a natural ability to make other people laugh and see the best in them? Do they feel warm and safe in your company? Are you practical and helpful?
Ask yourself: What’s right with me?
These are the lovely things about your character – if you have difficulty recognizing yours how about asking friends and family, “What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think about me?” You may be surprised to discover how others see you and it’s interesting to notice any similar comments that come up.
When you have a comprehensive list (and you’re bound to have one because you are AMAZING) keep it by your bed and read it every morning and night for several days, notice how you start to feel and how it makes you WANT to feel …. fill in the blanks for yourself …
Here’s one to start you off
I want my days to feel like fresh springtime after the rain has fallen bringing the sunshine that nourishes my creative spirit
I want my world to feel like …
I want my abundance to feel like …
I want my love to feel like …
I want my integrity to feel like …
Now add your own and let me know what a positive difference this makes for you. What do you notice about your thoughts?
